Who you are dealing with

Plugin City is a trading name of SKILLLED LTD, registered in England and Wales, number 15047813, registered office 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX. Buying a licence forms a contract between you and us on these terms. You can reach us at support@plugincity.net.

What you are actually buying

Our plugins are licensed under the GPLv2 or later, the same licence WordPress itself uses. That licence gives you broad freedom to use and modify the code on as many sites as you like, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

What you buy from us is a subscription: a year of updates, new versions and support, for the number of sites named on the plan you chose, together with a licence key that delivers them automatically to those sites. The site limit is a term of that service. It is not a claim about what the code permits.

Your licence key

Your key is personal to you. Activating it on a site uses one of the slots your plan includes, and you can free a slot at any time by deactivating that site from your account — moving a plugin to a new server does not cost you anything.

Publishing your key, or handing it to people outside your business so they can take updates without buying a licence, is a breach of these terms. If that happens we may suspend the key. We will always contact you first unless the sharing is obviously deliberate.

Price, payment and renewal

• Prices are in US dollars and are shown on each plugin’s page before you buy. Any tax due is shown at checkout.
• Licences are annual and renew automatically at the price shown when you bought, until you cancel. We will not increase the price of a licence you already hold without telling you before it renews.
• Payment is taken by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• If a renewal payment fails, your licence keeps working for 14 days while Stripe retries the card, so an expired card does not take your updates away overnight.

Cancelling

Cancel whenever you like from your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not cut you off on the day. Your licence runs to the end of the year you have already paid for, and then stops renewing.

Refunds

If you are unhappy within 14 days of buying, ask and we will refund you in full. You do not have to explain why. Email support@plugincity.net and we will deal with it.

A refund undoes the purchase, so the licence stops working when the refund is issued: updates, downloads and new activations all end, and the subscription is cancelled so nothing further is charged. The plugin already installed on your sites keeps running, because the code is yours under the GPLv2 or later — what stops is the service.

After 14 days we do not normally refund, because you will have had the year’s updates. This does not affect your legal rights as a consumer, which are described below.

Chargebacks

If you dispute a payment with your bank rather than asking us, the licence is suspended while the dispute runs, and stays suspended if the dispute is decided against us. If it is decided in your favour the licence goes back to whatever it would otherwise have been. Asking us first is faster for everyone, and we would rather you did.

When a licence lapses

If you cancel or let a licence run out, the plugin does not stop working and we do not disable anything you have installed. You keep the version your licence covered and can download it again from your account — a server move is not a new purchase. What you stop getting is new versions, and support.

Support and updates

While your licence is active we will answer questions by email and fix genuine faults in the plugin. We do not offer to build custom features, debug other people’s code, or work on your site for you, though we are happy to be asked.

We do not promise a specific number of updates or a release schedule. We do promise that if a plugin stops working with a current version of WordPress or WooCommerce, fixing it is our problem and not yours.

What we do not promise

The plugins are supplied as they are. We test them, but we cannot test every combination of theme, plugin and server in existence, and we do not promise the software will be free of faults or never interrupted. Keep backups.

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, and except where you are dealing with us as a consumer, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost data or business interruption.

Your rights as a consumer

If you are buying as an individual rather than for a business, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that these terms cannot take away — digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Nothing on this page affects those rights.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms for new purchases and for renewals. If we change them in a way that materially affects a licence you already hold, we will email you before it renews so you can decide whether to continue.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
