Free Shipping Bar for WooCommerce
Show customers how close they are to free shipping, with a progress bar on the cart, at checkout and in the mini-cart.

What it does
Most shops offer free shipping over an amount, and most customers never find out. Free Shipping Bar puts it in front of them: a sentence saying what is left to spend, and a bar that fills as they add to their cart.
Type in the amount your shop gives free shipping at, tick where the bar should appear, and the setup is finished. The bar keeps itself up to date as the cart changes, without the page having to reload. It also checks the amount against your real shipping settings, so you are told if the bar is promising something your checkout will not honour.
Nothing is ever blocked. A customer who does not reach the amount checks out as normal and pays for shipping — the bar is a nudge, not a rule.
It can look like your shop rather than like a plugin. Two shapes, your own colours for the bar, the fill and the text, and a choice of effect on the fill: moving stripes, a passing shine, a gentle pulse, or none at all. The preview on the settings screen is drawn from your own settings, so you see each change as you make it. The effects respect a customer's reduced-motion setting, so anyone who has asked their computer for less movement gets a bar that stands still.
The wording is yours too. There are two sentences — one for a cart that is still short and one for a cart that has earned free shipping — and {remaining}, {total} and {threshold} are priced in your shop's own currency wherever you put them. Every string sits on one Localization tab, ready to translate or reword.
Pro is for shops where one amount does not fit everybody. A role can have its own figure, and so can each shipping zone, read from your own shipping settings, so a customer at home and one abroad are each shown the amount that actually applies to them. A free delivery weekend can start and stop on its own, with its own amount and its own wording. Gift cards and bulky goods can be left out of the total, so nobody earns free delivery on a gift card alone. The moment a cart earns it can be marked with a colour and a celebration. The bar can follow customers onto every page, above your header or pinned to the bottom, where it can still change what goes in the basket. And it will tell you plainly whether any of it is working: how many orders reached the amount, and how many got there after the customer was shown the shortfall — worked out from your own orders, on your own site, and sent nowhere.
The free version is permanent. It does not expire, needs no licence key, and never contacts PluginCity. Pro is the complete plugin — everything in Free plus the above — and it installs in place of the free version, keeping every setting you have already made.

What Pro adds

- A colour and a celebration the moment a cart earns free shipping, so the customer notices they have got there
- The bar on every page rather than only the cart, above your header or pinned to the bottom, with a close button if you want one

Frequently asked questions
Does it set up free shipping for me?
No, and it is worth being clear about that. Free shipping itself is a WooCommerce shipping method, set up under WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping. This plugin shows customers how close they are to earning it, and checks your amount against your real shipping settings so the bar cannot promise something your checkout will not honour.
What does the bar count?
The cart subtotal, before shipping. Tax is counted only if your shop shows prices with tax included, so the amount the bar measures is the one the customer sees in their cart.
Will it block anyone from ordering?
No. A customer who has not reached the amount checks out as normal and pays for shipping. Nothing about the bar refuses an order.
Can I show a different amount abroad?
Yes, in Pro. Each shipping zone can have its own figure, read from your own shipping settings, so a customer at home and one abroad are each shown the amount that actually applies to them.
Can wholesale earn free shipping at a different amount?
Yes, in Pro. Put the amount beside that role, and their bar — and the sentence above it — counts down to their figure rather than the shop's. Give that role its own free shipping rule in WooCommerce to match.
Can I run a free delivery weekend?
Yes, in Pro. A campaign runs between the dates you choose with its own amount and its own wording, and it starts and stops on its own rather than waiting for you to remember.
Can I stop a gift card earning free delivery?
Yes, in Pro. Categories and products can be left out of the total, so a cart holding nothing but a gift card does not reach the amount on it alone.
Can the bar follow customers around the shop?
Yes, in Pro. It can sit above your header or pinned to the bottom of the window on every page, rather than only on the cart, which is where it can still change what somebody puts in the basket. Give it a close button if you would rather customers could put it away.
Can I tell whether the bar is actually working?
Yes, in Pro. It reports how many of your orders reached the amount, and how many got there after the customer was shown the shortfall. It is worked out from your own orders, on your own site, and sent nowhere.
Can I change the wording?
Yes, on the Localization tab. One sentence for a cart that is still short and one for a cart that has earned free shipping, with {remaining}, {total} and {threshold} priced in your shop's own currency.
Can I put the bar somewhere else on my site?
Yes. The shortcode [fsbwc_bar] draws it wherever you put it — a landing page, a sidebar, a block template — and shows nothing while the cart is empty.
What about a customer who has asked for less animation?
The effects respect the reduced-motion setting in the operating system, so the bar keeps its colours and stands still.
Does it work with the block cart and checkout?
Yes. The same bar is drawn in the Cart and Checkout blocks and in the block mini-cart, from the same settings, so it looks the same wherever a customer meets it.
What happens if a Pro licence lapses?
Nothing is deleted. The amounts you set against each role stay saved, your shipping zones are untouched, and every customer goes back to the shop-wide amount. The bar carries on working for everybody; it simply stops telling some customers a different number from others.
