Product FAQs for WooCommerce
Questions and answers on each product page, in an accordion that works from the keyboard, with shared sets and styling.

What it does
Questions and answers on each product page, in an accordion that works from the keyboard, with shared sets and styling.
Product FAQs lets you write the questions customers ask about a product, and your answers, on the product's own edit screen. Each question is a real button inside a heading, so it can be reached with Tab and opened with Enter or Space, and with scripts switched off every answer stays visible. The questions show as a tab beside Description and Reviews, below the product tabs, or only where you place the shortcode or the Product FAQs block. A product with no questions shows nothing, not even an empty tab. Answers can hold links, bold, italic, line breaks and simple lists, and FAQ structured data is written from the questions shown on the page, which you can switch off.
Pro adds shared FAQ sets written once and shown on every product or on chosen categories and tags, CSV import matched by product ID or SKU, a search box for long lists, and Advanced styling with a live preview: five layouts, icons, ten colours, text, spacing, borders, motion, heading level, numbering and container alignment and width, with a layout of its own on each product. If the licence lapses, nothing is deleted: each product keeps its own questions and they go on showing.

- A search box above lists of six or more questions, which filters as you type and tells screen reader users how many match.

- Five layouts: accordion, plain list, boxed cards, tabs or two columns.
- Choose how the list opens: first question open, every question open or every question closed, and whether several can stay open at once.
- Plus and minus, chevron or arrow icons, or none, before or after the question.
- Ten colours picked with the colour picker, for the questions, answers, hover and open states, with contrast checks beside the preview.
- Your theme's font or a system sans-serif, serif or monospace, with sizes, weights and line heights for the questions and the answers. Nothing is downloaded.
- Spacing, border width and style, corner radius and shadow.
- A fade or slide as a question opens, at a speed you set.

- Text aligned left, centre, right or justified, separately for the questions and the answers.
- A layout, opening, alignment and maximum width of its own on each product.
- Fonts, sizes and colours follow your theme until you set your own, so a shop that picks nothing sees nothing change.
- Updates from your PluginCity account, kept coming by your licence key.

Frequently asked questions
Where do the questions appear on the product page?
By default in a tab called FAQs, beside Description and Reviews. You can move them below the product tabs, or show them only where you place the shortcode or the Product FAQs block. Under WooCommerce, Product FAQs you can also rename the tab, change the heading and open the first answer.
How do I add questions to a product?
Edit the product, open the FAQs tab in the Product data box and add a question and its answer, up to 50 on a product. A row needs both to be shown. Update the product, then view it. A product with no questions shows nothing at all.
What can I put in an answer?
Links, bold, italic, line breaks and simple lists. Anything else is removed when you save. An answer can be up to 5,000 characters and a question up to 300.
Does it work with block themes?
Yes. With the default placement the questions get their own tab, which classic and block themes both show. Below the product tabs works in a classic theme, and in a block theme whose product template uses the Product Details block. A template without that block can use the Product FAQs block or the shortcode instead.
How do I put the questions somewhere else?
Choose Only where I place the shortcode or block, then add the Product FAQs block to a template or put [pfaqwc_faqs] in any content. On a product page it shows that product's questions. Anywhere else, name the product: [pfaqwc_faqs product_id="123"]. The shortcode also takes heading="Good to know" and open_first="yes" or "no".
Can it be used from the keyboard and with a screen reader?
Each question is a button inside a heading, and it says whether it is open. Tab moves between questions, Enter or Space opens one, and the Up and Down arrows, Home and End move along the list. With scripts switched off every answer stays visible.
What does the structured data do?
It prints a block of FAQ data in the page, built from the questions shown on that page and nothing else. Layout, colours and heading level never enter into it. If another plugin already prints FAQ data, switch ours off under WooCommerce, Product FAQs. What a search engine does with it is up to the search engine.
Where does a shared set appear?
After the product's own questions, on every product it applies to: all products, or the ones in the categories and tags you choose. A question the product already asks is shown once. Categories and tags are remembered by their slug, so changing a slug takes a set off the products it was attached to until you choose it again.
Can I turn shared sets off for one product?
Yes. On the product's FAQs tab, tick the box that stops shared sets being added to it.
What does the CSV file look like?
A first row naming three columns, product, question and answer, then one row per question. The product is its ID or its SKU. Questions are added after the ones a product already has, and a question it already asks is left alone. Rows that cannot be used are listed after the import with the reason. A file can be up to 1 MB and 2,000 rows.
When does the search box appear?
On lists of six or more questions, once you have switched it on. It filters as you type and tells screen reader users how many questions match. Without scripts it does not appear at all.
Which layouts are there?
Five: accordion, plain list, boxed cards, tabs and two columns. Two columns becomes one column on a phone, and tabs always show one answer at a time. Pick one for the whole shop under Advanced styling, or for a single product on its FAQs tab.
Can one product look different from the rest?
Yes. On the product's FAQs tab you can choose a layout, how the questions are open when the page loads, where they sit and how wide they may grow, for that product alone. Everything else follows the settings under Advanced styling.
How do I position the questions on the page?
Container alignment puts the questions left, centre, right or full width in the space your theme gives them. Left, centre and right need a maximum width to show, which you give in pixels, percent or rem. Left and right follow the reading direction, so they swap in a language written right to left. Text can be aligned separately for the questions and the answers.
Will it match my theme?
Fonts, sizes and colours follow your theme until you set your own, so a shop that picks nothing sees nothing change. What you do set is written once as CSS custom properties on the list, not as inline styles on every question.
Are my colours checked for contrast?
Beside the live preview, the settings screen gives the contrast of your question text, answer text and border against their backgrounds, and says when a pair is hard to read. It tells you but never stops you.
What does the heading level do?
Each question sits inside a heading tag, level 3 by default. Choose the level that sits under your page's own headings. It changes the outline of the page, not the look.
Does it work with High-Performance Order Storage?
Yes. Nothing is written to orders, so either storage works.
Does it send any data out?
Your questions and answers stay on your site. The licence check and the update check contact PluginCity, and send the licence key, the site address and the plugin version. Nothing else is sent.
What happens to my questions if I delete the plugin?
They stay on your products unless you tick Delete on uninstall under WooCommerce, Product FAQs, before you delete it. The settings are removed.
How do I install it and what does it need?
Download the ZIP from your PluginCity account, then go to Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP and click Install Now. If an earlier copy of the plugin is already installed, choose Replace current with uploaded: every setting you have made is kept. It needs WordPress 6.7 or later, WooCommerce 10.0 or later with WooCommerce active, and PHP 8.1 or later. There is nothing else to install alongside it.
How do updates and the licence key work?
Paste your licence key under WooCommerce, Product FAQs, Licence. Updates then arrive on your Plugins screen like any other, and the key keeps the shared sets, search box and Advanced styling editable. A new install has 14 days before that starts to matter.
What happens if my licence lapses?
Nothing is deleted and nothing breaks. Each product keeps its own questions and they go on showing, and so do questions already imported from a CSV file, because they belong to their products. Shared sets, the search setting, layout and colours stay saved and readable but cannot be changed, and product pages stop using them until a key is active. The licence screen lists exactly what is being ignored, and renewing switches it all back on as you left it.
What happens if I deactivate WooCommerce?
The plugin steps aside and shows a notice. It does not fatally error, and your questions and settings are waiting when WooCommerce comes back.
