Shipping by Weight for WooCommerce
Price a WooCommerce shipping method from weight bands, in the shop's own weight unit. Nothing is converted.

What it does
Price a WooCommerce shipping method from weight bands, in the shop's own weight unit. Nothing is converted.
WooCommerce asks for a price once per shipping package. A shop that does not split the cart has one package, and that weight is the cart weight.

What the plugin does
- Weight bands. From is included, up to is not, and the first matching row wins. Leave up to empty on the last row to cover every heavier package.
- A price for each extra unit above the last row. A weight sitting exactly on that last up to keeps the row's price. Each step above it adds the extra price, and a fraction of a step is charged as a whole step. With no extra unit set, a weight no row covers is not offered.
- A minimum and maximum weight. Outside that range the method is not offered. Other methods on the zone stay, and checkout is not blocked.
- A tax status of Taxable or Shipping not taxed.
- The rate on the cart, classic checkout, and block checkout.
- The shop weight unit, with no conversion of its own.
- Settings import and export, so a table can be copied to another shop. Pro settings travel with that export.
- High-Performance Order Storage.
- A shipping class weight table. A shipping class wins when a product category also matches.
- A product category weight table, used only when the product has no matching class rule.
- A handling fee: a percent of the weight cost, then a flat amount. Either may be left blank.
- A percentage of the cart subtotal, added after the weight cost and the handling fee. The cart subtotal is the sum of line totals after coupons, excluding tax.
- A free shipping threshold. The method stays offered at a cost of zero when the package weighs the threshold or less, or when the cart subtotal reaches its amount. Heavier than that weight, and short of that subtotal, the method keeps its price.
- Destination conditions for country, state, and postcode. A star in a postcode is a wildcard.
- Rounding: Do not round, Up to 0.05, Up to 0.10, Up to 0.50, or Up to 1.
- A CSV of the shop weight table. A zone that has saved its own rows is left alone.
- A checkout message when the method is not offered, and another when shipping is free.
- A debug panel for shop managers.

Frequently asked questions
Does it use kilograms or pounds?
Whatever the shop weight unit already is. Nothing is converted.
What does a band include?
From is included and up to is not. A band of 1 to 5 matches 1 and does not match 5.
What if a product has no weight?
It adds nothing. A package whose lines all have no weight is treated as zero. A variation with no weight of its own uses the parent product's weight.
Does a free-shipping coupon change this price?
No. This method keeps its own price. If the coupon adds WooCommerce's free shipping method, the customer can choose that instead.
What happens when the licence lapses?
Nothing is deleted. The advanced rates stay on the screen as words you can read but not change, and every customer is priced from the weight table only. Renewing switches the advanced rates back on as you left them.
